Painters still recommend sanding but, done the right way, with proper primers, it could be skippable. Selecting a primer adhesive that really sticks, without scratching surfaces, can make the difference. Pick a primer that blocks stains, odours and knots as well.

Others are topcoat-friendly, however, to help prevent smudges and fingermarks, so specify whether products need to be cleaned before you finish your furniture. Whichever option you choose, let it fully dry before you apply your topcoat according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Clean the Surface

Laminate furniture is made of man-made materials resembling in its wooden grain. It needs little care to look good for many years and holds the character of being stain-resistant.

You can make your laminate floors look great again for years with nothing more than a few simple tips: dust regularly and wipe away any spillages as soon as possible.

Before applying a final top coat of paint, use 220-grit sandpaper to sand down laminate surface evenly. Because unlike real wood laminate can peel, chip or splinter more easily; Without this step paint will not stick well to its lovely shiny surface.

Apply the Fourth Coat of Paint

Because sometimes your budget prevents you from getting wood furniture, and laminate is nice to have around. Although it won’t last as long nor make you the indestructible superman you want to be, given a little care and some thoughtful protective photostats, laminate can nevertheless look exceptionally beautiful.
